About

About The Credit & Debt Ally

The Credit and Debt Ally is a free suite of debt calculators built to give people honest, unbiased analysis — including when consolidation is not the right move. Tools include a single card payoff calculator, multi-card debt avalanche and snowball comparison, balance transfer break-even analyzer, consolidation loan risk assessment, and minimum payment trap visualizer.

Why we built this

Most consolidation calculators are built by lenders to make their products look attractive. We built this because people dealing with debt deserve honest math — even when the honest answer is that a consolidation loan will cost them more. Every tool here is designed to inform decisions, not sell financial products.

How this site is supported

The Credit & Debt Ally is built and maintained by the Rytell personal-finance team. It is free to use and always will be, and the site is supported by advertising through Google AdSense. You may see ads displayed on the page — these are served by Google based on general browsing context and help cover the costs of building and maintaining the tool.

The site also includes affiliate links — for example to Amazon — and we may earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. Advertisers and affiliate partners never influence our tool outputs or recommendations. The tools produce results based purely on the inputs you provide — advertising relationships have no bearing on what the calculator shows you. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how advertising cookies work.

Accuracy and limitations

All calculations use standard financial formulas and are intended for planning purposes. Results are estimates based on your inputs. Actual payoff timelines, interest costs, and loan terms vary based on your lender, credit profile, and payment history. This tool does not constitute financial advice — consult a certified financial counselor for personalized guidance.
